Nagpur: A young hotel employee died after suffering critical burn injuries caused by hot water at the five-star Le-Meridien Hotel on Wardha Road. The incident took place within Beltarodi Police Station limits.

The deceased was identified as 19-year-old Sachin Shivaji Jadhav, a resident of Hiwara in Digras, Yavatmal district. Jadhav was employed in the housekeeping section of the luxury hotel.

According to officials, the accident occurred around 7 pm on November 29 while Jadhav was performing cleaning duties inside the hotel premises. Hot water reportedly fell on his body, leaving him badly burnt. Hotel staff rushed him to Orange City Hospital where he remained under treatment.

Despite efforts by doctors, Jadhav passed away on Tuesday. Following a report filed by his father, Shivaji Jadhav, Beltarodi Police registered a case of accidental death and have initiated further inquiry into the incident.
