Nagpur: Koradi police apprehended two individuals involved in the theft of iron materials from the Koradi Power Plant on Sunday, February 9 morning.
The suspects, identified as Arjun Ashok Lashkare (19) and Raju Bhau Bodke (56), were caught near the Anganwadi on Panjara-Koradi Road while transporting stolen iron on two two-wheelers—a Honda Activa (MH-40-CF-6110) and a Pleasure (MH-40-R-9314).
According to security officer Jayantkumar Bhattkulkar, the accused were intercepted after security personnel Shubham Bhosale spotted them fleeing with stolen goods. When confronted, the suspects reportedly resorted to stone-pelting. The police seized stolen iron materials and the two vehicles, amounting to a total recovery worth ₹37,400.
Three accomplices—identified as Manish Wasnik, Shubham Jadhav, and Rahul Dukre—managed to escape and remain at large. Koradi police have registered a case under relevant sections and are actively investigating the matter.
