Nagpur: A 25-year-old man died after allegedly suffering an electric shock while carrying out electrical work at a house in the Garudkhamb area of Mahal under the Lakadganj Police Station limits on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12 noon on September 13 at the residence of Sangita Talware, located at Plot No. 227, Garudkhamb, Mahal.
According to police, Aman Kantaprasad Soni (25), a resident of Vanrai Nagar near Manewada Ghat, was carrying out electrical work at the house when he allegedly suffered an electric shock.
He fell unconscious after receiving the shock. The house owners immediately rushed him to Rahate Hospital for treatment. He was subsequently shifted to Seven Star Hospital, where doctors examined him and declared him dead.
Following information provided by the deceased’s brother Ruturaj Kantaprasad Soni (31), PSI Sagar Shinde registered an accidental death case at Lakadganj Police Station.
Police have initiated further inquiry into the incident.
