Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood has died in Las Vegas, United States, with officials confirming that the cause of death was an accidental overdose involving fentanyl and alcohol. The incident has once again highlighted the growing dangers of illicit substances, especially among travelers abroad.

According to U.S. authorities, the 32-year-old content creator was found unresponsive in a hotel room in Las Vegas earlier this month. Emergency medical teams rushed to the spot and attempted to revive him, administering CPR and multiple doses of naloxone, a drug commonly used to counter opioid overdoses. Despite their efforts, he could not be saved.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office later revealed that toxicology reports showed combined fentanyl and ethanol toxicity, officially ruling the death as accidental. Investigators stated that Sood had allegedly consumed a substance believed to be cocaine, which was later suspected to be laced with fentanyl — a highly potent synthetic opioid responsible for numerous overdose deaths in the U.S.

Reports suggest that Sood was in Las Vegas attending events when the incident occurred. He had a strong social media presence and was widely known for his luxury travel content, especially across destinations in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Following the confirmation of the cause of death, Sood’s family issued a statement expressing grief and requesting privacy during this difficult time. His sudden passing has triggered an outpouring of condolences from followers, fellow influencers, and public figures, while also sparking conversations around drug safety and awareness, particularly for international travelers.
