Nagpur: The Social Security Branch (SSB) of Nagpur Police busted a sex racket in Hudkeshwar as part of Operation Shakti, an ongoing campaign against human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The raid, conducted on August 19, 2025, led to the arrest of two accused, the rescue of a victim woman, and the seizure of cash and other material worth ₹94,700.
The operation took place at a house in Sant Tajeshwar Nagar, Hudkeshwar Layout, where the accused were allegedly forcing women into prostitution by luring them with promises of quick financial benefits. Those arrested have been identified as Sunita Vikas Kamble (46), originally from Bhandara district, and her son Yash Vikas Kamble (26), both residents of Vidyanagar, Wathoda Layout, Nagpur.
During the raid, police recovered ₹63,500 in cash, four mobile phones valued at ₹31,000, and 20 condoms worth ₹200. The total seizure amounted to ₹94,700. One victim woman was rescued and both the accused and the victim were later subjected to medical examination. The case has been registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station under BNs Section 143(2)(3), BNS, along with provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
The action was executed under the guidance of the Nagpur Police Commissioner. The SSB team involved in the raid comprised PI Rahul Shire, API Shivaji Nanaware, WHC Arti Chouhan, and constables Sameer Sheikh, Kunal Masram, Kunal Bodakhe, and Nitin Wasane.
