Nagpur: Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Central Railway’s Nagpur Division once again demonstrated alertness, integrity and commitment to passenger service by safely recovering and returning a left-behind laptop bag under Operation Amanat at Pulgaon Railway Station.
On 03 January 2026, at around 20:30 hrs, after the departure of Train No. 12136 Nagpur- Pune Express from Platform No. 01 at Pulgaon Station, RPF staff noticed an unattended black laptop bag lying on the platform. Acting promptly, the bag was brought to the RPF post and checked as per laid-down procedures.
During inspection, the bag was found to contain a laptop, charger, wallet with cash, a Bluetooth headphone and identity-related documents. All articles were kept safely in RPF custody.
On 04 January 2026, the rightful passenger approached the RPF post. After due verification of ownership, the bag was opened and checked in the presence of witnesses, and all items were found intact. The entire luggage was then handed over to the passenger through a proper handover memo as per rules.
The passenger expressed satisfaction and conveyed appreciation to the RPF staff for their honesty, prompt action and assistance, while confirming that there was no grievance.
