Nagpur: A man sustained serious injuries after a speeding Scorpio SUV rammed into his motorcycle from behind and fled the scene in the Dhantoli area of the city.

The incident occurred on June 1, 2025, around 8:00 PM, when the victim, Akash Pradeep Kale (32) of Rajivnagar, Wanadongri, was riding his Hero Splendor (MH32 AU 6941) near Khamla to Chatrapati Square. The driver of a Scorpio (MH31 GA 9111) allegedly drove the vehicle rashly and hit Kale’s bike from behind before fleeing. Kale was thrown off the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.

He was immediately taken to Medical Hospital for treatment. On July 17, based on Kale’s formal complaint, Dhantoli Police registered an FIR under Section 281 of the BNS, Section 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, and Sections 134 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. PSI Bhagat is investigating the case.
