Nagpur: A decomposed body of an unidentified man, aged around 40 to 45 years, was found floating in an unused well near Khapri Masjid under Beltarodi Police Station limits.

Kuldeep Ramtekke (44), a tanker driver from Hudkeshwar Khurd, had visited the well to fetch water around 9:15 am on July 23 when he noticed the body.

With the help of Fire Brigade officials, the body was retrieved and shifted to Government Medical Hospital where doctors confirmed death. Police are yet to identify the deceased.

An accidental death report has been registered by PSI Gorde. Investigation is underway to ascertain the identity and cause of death.
