Nagpur: Thieves Steal ₹24.66 Lakh in Cash and Valuables from Mahal Residence During Wedding Trip

Nagpur: A major burglary was reported in the Mahal area under Kotwali Police Station, where thieves decamped with cash and valuables worth ₹24.66 lakh from a locked residence.
Complainant Sanket Harish Jasani (31), who resides at Plot No. 684, Jalaram Nivas, Mahal, had left for Amravati with his family for a wedding between May 31 and June 1. Upon returning, he found the main door’s lock broken and valuables missing, including ₹5 lakh in cash, gold and diamond jewellery, imitation ornaments, and two watches.
Kotwali Police have registered a case under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita against unidentified persons. Kotwali Police are conducting further investigation.
