MIDC Police Apprehend Two for Culpable Homicide in Bansi Nagar Assault Case in Nagpur

Nagpur: MIDC Police have apprehended two individuals for their alleged involvement in a culpable homicide incident that occurred in Bansi Nagar on May 31.


The victim, Sanjay alias Sanju Girijashankar Mohane (35), a resident of Moya village in Madhya Pradesh, was reportedly assaulted by two accused following a dispute over a missing iron chain from a trailer vehicle.


Accused Rajesh Sheshnag Upadhyay (78), a resident of Lokmanya Nagar, and Rupesh Rajkumar Bhure (36), a resident of Pardi, allegedly attacked Sanjay with wooden sticks, causing serious injuries. He was rushed to AIIMS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.


Based on the medical report and a formal complaint by the victim’s brother, Raju Mohane (32), MIDC Police have registered a case under Sections 105 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. Both accused have been taken into custody.
