Married Man Booked for Allegedly Attacking Woman With Scissors in Clark Town After Argument Over “Photos”

Nagpur: Jaripatka Police have registered a case against a 35-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a woman with an iron pair of scissors and threatening her following an argument over photographs stored on his mobile phone.


According to police, the woman, a resident of Sadar and employed in the private sector, was friends with the accused, identified as Siddharth Sunil Agrawal (35), a resident of Darbari Apartment in Clark Town, Jaripatka. The accused allegedly had some photographs of the woman saved on his mobile phone.


The dispute reportedly began when the woman contacted the accused’s wife and requested that the photographs be deleted from his phone.


Police said the accused allegedly called the woman to a location in Jaripatka on the night of June 27, where he threatened her and allegedly struck her on the nose with an iron pair of scissors, causing injuries. He also allegedly threatened her with dire consequences.


The injured woman was taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment.


Based on her complaint, Jaripatka Police have registered a case against Siddharth Agrawal under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are conducting further investigation.
