Job Scam: Nagpur Man Duped of ₹75,000 in Fake Netherlands Offer

Nagpur: A man was cheated of ₹75,000 by a woman promising a high-paying job in the Netherlands. Jaripatka Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.


According to reports, Prashant Sridhar Tembhurne (39), a resident of Ashok Nagar, was searching for a job online when he came across an advertisement for a managerial position in the Netherlands. The job was allegedly offered through Bright Career Group, located at Plot No. 15, Shiv Enclave, Jaripatka.


Tempted by the opportunity, Tembhurne visited the office and met Vaishnavi Satish Khade, a resident of Jaitala, Nagpur. On May 29, 2024, around 12:30 PM, the accused took ₹75,000 via Paytm barcode, assuring him of job placement. However, after receiving the money, she failed to provide the job and started avoiding calls and meetings.


Realizing he had been scammed, Tembhurne lodged a complaint. After investigation, Jaripatka Police booked Khade under Sections 468, 471, and 420 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case is being probed further.
