House Break-In in Nagpur: Cash and Jewelry Worth ₹1.91 Lakh Stolen in Wathoda

Nagpur: A burglary incident has been reported in the Wathoda area of Nagpur, where unknown thieves broke into a locked residence and stole valuables worth ₹1.91 lakh. The incident occurred over a span of nearly 20 hours while the homeowner was away visiting relatives.


According to police, the complainant, Anil Balkrishna Borsare (41), had locked his house located near Vidya Vikas School in Shivchhatrapati Nagar and left for Pachpaoli. Taking advantage of the absence, unidentified individuals broke the main door lock and forcibly entered the house.


Once inside, the burglars accessed a bedroom cupboard and stole ₹11,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments. The theft was discovered when the homeowner returned and found the house ransacked.


Based on the complaint, Wathoda Police have registered a case against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have initiated an investigation and are working to identify and apprehend the culprits.
