Nagpur: On Tuesday, July 22, during routine patrolling under “Operation Nanhey Farishtey,” SIPF V.P. Singh along with staff noticed five minor girls in suspicious condition near the tents set up for Urs Mela devotees at Platform No. 08, Nagpur Railway Station. Woman Head Constable Manju Sharma was immediately called to the spot. Upon inquiry, the girls were unable to provide satisfactory answers and were brought to RPF Post Nagpur for further questioning.

In the presence of Childline representative and Sub-Inspector Ms. Jhuma Ingle, the girls were compassionately counselled. During the interaction, it was revealed that they had travelled from another city without informing their parents and reached Nagpur out of fear of being scolded for returning home late.

Considering the safety and well-being of the minors, proper documentation was carried out. The girls were taken for medical examination at Mayo Hospital by RPF personnel along with Childline representatives. Afterwards, they were safely handed over to a Government Girls’ Shelter Home, where they will remain under care until reunited with their families

RPF Nagpur remains committed to ensuring child safety through prompt and coordinated action.
