Nagpur: Sadar Police have registered a case against an unidentified driver for causing a fatal accident near Gaddigodam Chowk. The victim, Kaljeet Kaur Hooda (47), a resident of Vaishali Nagar, Pachpaoli, was hit by a white four-wheeler while riding her Activa moped (MH 49 AU 4981) between 7:30 AM and 8:15 AM on March 4.

She was found in a severely injured condition and rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead during treatment. Initially, an accidental death report was filed, but after reviewing CCTV footage, it was confirmed that an unknown car driver had fled after hitting her.

Based on a complaint by police personnel Dongre, a case has been registered under Section 106(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, along with Sections 134 and 177 of the BNS.  Cops are leading the investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect.
