Nagpur: During routine surveillance at Platform No. 01 of Nagpur Railway Station, a minor boy was noticed roaming alone in a suspicious condition. On preliminary inquiry, the child was unable to provide satisfactory information. Considering his safety and well-being, he was brought to the RPF Post, Nagpur.
The minor was counselled in a sympathetic manner in the presence of a Childline representative.
During interaction, it was revealed that the child had left home due to a family-related issue. In keeping with child protection protocols, Childline and the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) were immediately informed and consulted.
After obtaining due consent from the Child Welfare Committee and completing all necessary formalities, the minor was safely handed over to his family member in the presence of the Childline representative and witnesses.
