Two Arrested for Motorcycle Theft in MIDC, Nagpur; 20 Vehicles Worth ₹13.05 Lakh Seized

Nagpur: In a major crackdown, MIDC police apprehended two notorious motorcycle thieves and recovered 20 stolen vehicles worth ₹13.05 lakh.


The arrested suspects have been identified as Sunil Ramkishor Shrivas (38), a resident of Lokmanya Nagar, and Navin Devidas Rasa (37) from Prakash Nagar, Chandrapur.


Acting on a tip-off and CCTV footage analysis, police traced the accused and set up a trap near Metro Station on Hingna Road. Both suspects were apprehended, and during interrogation, they admitted to stealing motorcycles from various locations. Based on their confessions, the stolen vehicles were recovered and seized.


The accused have been remanded to police custody, and further investigations are underway. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal and Deputy Commissioner of Police Lohit Matani (Zone 1).


The investigation team, led by Senior Police Inspector Mahesh Chavan and Sub-Inspector Sanjay Bansod, along with other police personnel, played a crucial role in the arrests.
