Nagpur: Old Kamptee Police have registered a case against a truck driver involved in a fatal road accident that claimed the life of a 39-year-old man on Tuesday, February 4, around 4:45 pm.

According to the complaint filed by Jeevanprakash Ramvilas Vishwakarma (31), a resident of Shivnagar, Kandri, Kanhhan, his brother Vijay Ramvilas Vishwakarma was riding his motorcycle (MH 34 AN 1771) near Kamsari Bazar on Jabalpur Road when a speeding and reckless truck (MH 40 AR 5120) rammed into his vehicle. The truck driver fled the scene, leaving Vijay critically injured.

Bystanders rushed the victim to the Sub-District Hospital, Kamptee, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Following the complaint, police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 304-A of the BNS, along with relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, against the truck driver.
