New Delhi: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has said that she was once a "moderate Hindu" but now wants to become what she described as an "awakened Hindu," aligning herself with the ideologies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In a post shared on Instagram, Ranaut said she would not defend herself against criticism over her past views and acknowledged that people have questioned when she became a "Sanghi."

Responding to those questions, she wrote, "Yes, I was a moderate Hindu. Today, I am being harassed and asked, 'Since when did you become a Sanghi?' I want to become a Sanghi. I want to become an awakened Hindu on the lines of BJP and RSS ideologies. I want to convert."

Her remarks have sparked discussion on social media, with supporters and critics expressing differing opinions on her statement.

As of now, Kangana Ranaut has not issued any further clarification beyond her Instagram post. Her comments have added to the ongoing public debate surrounding religion, political identity, and ideological affiliation in India.
