Nagpur: In a joint operation, Ganeshpeth Police Station and NDPS squad of Crime Branch apprehended three individuals for drug trafficking near Rahul Complex, Wing No. 1, Bus Stand Road, Ganeshpeth. The action took place between 7:05 PM and 9:15 PM on Tuesday, March 12.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Kushal Singh Sardar Singh Sodiya (Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh), Sanjay Bagdiram Vishwakarma (Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh) and Harshal Vilasrao Bante (Mahal, Nagpur)
Two other accused, including Sanjay Bagdiram Vishwakarma and Sameer Bashir Khan from Mahal, Nagpur, are currently absconding.
During the operation, police seized 104 grams of MD (Mephedrone) powder and three mobile phones, amounting to a total value of ₹10.7 lakh.
The raid was conducted based on a tip-off received by police personnel Manoj Neware, leading to a well-planned trap at the crime scene. The accused have been booked under sections 8(c), 22(c), and 29 of the NDPS Act, 1985.
