Nagpur: Swift action by Crime Branch Unit 2 led to the detection of a vehicle theft case reported in Pachpaoli area.

On September 3, 2025, between 4 pm and 4.15 pm, complainant Shubham Manoj Nagpure (27), a resident of Motibagh Railway Colony, had parked his Honda Activa (MH 49 BQ 7360), worth ₹45,000, in front of Annapurna Kirana Stores, Bhoslewadi, Pachpaoli. Leaving the key in the ignition, he entered the shop to purchase groceries. In the meantime, an unknown thief made away with the vehicle. Based on his complaint, Pachpaoli Police registered a case under Section 379 of the BNS.

In a parallel probe, the Crime Branch Unit 2 team carried out technical investigations. Acting on specific intelligence, officers laid a trap and apprehended a conflict-with-law juvenile with the stolen vehicle. During questioning, the minor confessed to the crime. The stolen Activa worth ₹45,000 was recovered from his possession.

The juvenile has been handed over to Pachpaoli Police for further action. Investigations are ongoing. The operation was carried out under the supervision of DCP (Detection) Rahul Makanikar and ACP (Crime Branch) Abhijeet Patil by PI Gajanan Chambhare and his team.
