The Mumbai Police have declined YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s request to have his statement recorded at his residence, instructing him instead to appear at Khar Police Station. This development is part of the ongoing investigation into the “India’s Got Latent†controversy, which has led to multiple summonses for individuals associated with the show. To date, the Khar Police have recorded statements from seven individuals, including judges Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Makhija, as well as Balraj Ghai, the owner of the studio where the show was filmed. Comedian Samay Raina, currently in the United States for stand-up performances, had requested an extension until March 17 to provide his statement; however, the Mumbai Police have rejected this request, emphasizing that the investigation cannot be delayed. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered cases against approximately 30 to 40 individuals involved with the show, spanning from its inaugural episode to the sixth. Notices have been issued, and all parties are expected to record their statements as part of the ongoing inquiry.
