Nagpur, December 2025: Nagpur City Police has launched AI-powered Crowd Management Pilot during the Maharashtra Winter Assembly Session 2025, marking a major technological leap in public safety and real-time crowd intelligence. The initiative has been implemented under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Nagpur, in strategic partnership with Click2Cloud Technology Services India Pvt. Ltd., with technology support from Microsoft.
Nagpur, being the winter capital and a high-density event hub, witnesses several major gatherings including the Winter Assembly, Ganesh Visarjan, Deekshabhoomi events, festivals, cricket matches, and VIP movements—making AI-driven predictive crowd management essential for safety and operational efficiency.
AI Nirikshak – Maharashtra’s First AI-Based Crowd Intelligence Platform
The newly launched platform, titled “AI Nirikshak”, integrates advanced Computer Vision, AI video analytics, heat mapping, and real-time surveillance, enabling police to monitor, detect, and respond instantly to emerging crowd risks. The system offers:
