Nagpur: The counting of votes for the Assembly elections will take place under tight security on November 23. The district election office, administration, and police department have implemented strict precautionary measures to ensure smooth proceedings.

District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar has invoked Section 163 of the BNS, prohibiting gatherings around the counting centers. Only individuals with authorized security passes will be granted entry.

Counting for the 12 Assembly constituencies in Nagpur district will be conducted at designated centers as follows:

• Katol: Counting will be held at the Administrative Building, Ground Floor, Tehsil Office, Katol.

• Saoner: Counting will take place at the Government ITI, Saoner.

• Hingna: Votes will be counted at the Nagpur Rural Tehsil Office.

• Umred: The process will occur at Nutan Adarsh Arts, Commerce, and M.H. Wegad Science College, Umred.

• Kamthi: Counting will take place at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Kamthi.

• Ramtek: The venue for counting is Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Parsoda, Tehsil Ramtek.

• Nagpur South-West: Counting will be conducted at the Community Hall, Central Railway, Ajni, Nagpur.

• Nagpur South: The venue is Cultural Savings Hall, opposite Hardev Hotel, Sitabuldi, Nagpur.

• Nagpur East: Counting will take place at Ishwar Deshmukh College, Sports Square, Hanuman Nagar, Nagpur.

• Nagpur Central: The venue is Zilla Parishad (former government) Secondary School, Nagpur.

• Nagpur West: Counting will be held at SFS College, Seminary Hills, Nagpur.

• Nagpur North: The process will occur at St. Ursula Girls’ School, Civil Lines, Nagpur.

A robust police presence has been arranged around the counting centers, and the administration has warned of strict legal action against those violating traffic or security regulations.
