Nagpur: The cricket fever in the Second Capital of the State is soaring as tickets for the highly-anticipated India vs England ODI, scheduled for February 6 at the VCA Stadium, Jamtha, sold out within hours of going live online on Sunday, February 2. With high demand and limited seats, desperate cricket enthusiasts have turned to black market sources, where touts are reportedly selling tickets at three times their original prices.
Nagpur Police have issued a stern warning against such malpractice, vowing to take strict action against those involved in black marketing. Cops have urged fans to refrain from purchasing tickets through unauthorized sources and report any such activities immediately.
Online Booking and Redemption Details:
Ticket sales began at 10 am on February 2 through the official ticketing partner, District by Zomato. Fans could book a maximum of two tickets per person, linked to one mobile number and email ID.
The redemption of pre-booked tickets will take place from February 3 to February 5, between 9:30 am and 8 pm, at Bilimoria Hall, Civil Lines. Authorities have clarified that there will be no ticket redemption counters at the Jamtha stadium on the match day.
Special Bus Service for Cricket Fans:
To accommodate the influx of cricket enthusiasts, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has arranged special bus services from Panchsheel Square, Sitabuldi, to Jamtha Stadium. Buses will start operations at 9:00 am and run at 15-minute intervals until late at night. Regular ticket fares will apply for this service.
