House Burglary Reported in Ambazari While Family Attends Wedding in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a brazen theft, unidentified burglars broke into the residence of Ashwin Dadarao Umre (37) in Sanjay Nagar, Ambazari, making off with cash and jewelry worth ₹4.64 lakh. The incident occurred between 8:00 PM on June 8 and 10:30 AM on June 9, 2025, while the family was away attending a wedding function.
According to the complaint filed at Ambazari Police Station, the thieves broke the main door's lock and latch to enter the house before looting ₹4 lakh in cash and gold ornaments from a bedroom cupboard.
Police Sub-Inspector Kakad has registered the case under Sections 305, 331(3), and 331(4) of the BNS. Investigations are underway to identify the culprits.
