Nagpur: A heated altercation turned violent in Vrindavan Nagar’s Shivaji Society when a father-son duo, along with a minor, allegedly assaulted a man and his family, leading to a life-threatening knife attack. The incident took place around 11 AM on Monday, January 27 under Nandanvan Police’s jurisdiction.
According to Nandanvan Police, the dispute began when the complainant, Firoz Akhtar Abdul Salim (41), had reprimanded the accused’s son two days prior. On January 27, the accused, identified as Sohail Khan (18), Shamsher Khan (55), and a minor accomplice, confronted the complainant outside his residence. The trio allegedly hurled abusive language, assaulted the complainant’s father, and physically attacked his brother, Ejaz Akhtar Abdul Salim (37).
Sohail Khan reportedly used a knife to inflict severe injuries on Ejaz, targeting his neck and chest. The injured victim is currently undergoing treatment at Medical Hospital.
Based on the complaint, Nandanvan Police have registered a case under various sections of the BNS and Maharashtra Police Act. Nandanvan Police confirmed the arrest of two accused and stated that further investigations are ongoing.
