Nagpur: A tragic road accident in Dhangtoli resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man and injuries to another. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on February 3, 2025, near Ajni Chowk when a Maruti Ertiga (MH 40 KR 9654) allegedly collided with a Bullet motorcycle.

The complainant, Vishal Narendra Yadav, aged 23, a resident of Chandrapur, was riding his Bullet motorcycle (MH 33 AE 0128) with his friend, Chetan Rajeshwar Gawde, when the car driver, allegedly driving recklessly and at high speed, hit their vehicle. Both victims fell off the bike and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared Gawde dead. Yadav is currently undergoing treatment.

The accused driver, identified as Ajnaan Izrar Hussain, 25, a resident of Ajni Railway Quarters, was apprehended.

Based on Yadav’s statement, Dhangtoli Police registered a case under Sections 281, 125(b), and 106(1) of the BNS along with Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Further investigation is underway.
