Crime Branch Unit 3 Cracks House Burglary and Vehicle Theft Cases in Nagpur

Nagpur: The Crime Branch Unit 3 recently solved multiple cases of house burglary and vehicle theft, apprehending three suspects, including a juvenile, during a swift investigation.


The incident came to light after Ashok Shrikrishna Lonare, a resident of Shantinagar, reported that his house was burgled while he was away with his family in Gujarat from January 29 to February 1, 2025. The burglars broke the main door lock and stole cash amounting to Rs 10,000, a gold ring, two old mobile phones, and a wristwatch, with a total estimated value of Rs 40,000.


Following a detailed investigation, Crime Branch Unit 3 detained a juvenile suspect. Upon questioning, the suspect revealed the involvement of two accomplices: Shyam alias Kalya Ramji Pund (30) of Indiramata Nagar and Piyush alias Gandu Deepak Nimje (19) of Dhamdeep Nagar, Yashodharanagar. The police arrested both accused and recovered stolen property, including a mobile phone, vehicle keys, and a Honda Splendor bike (registration number MH 49 AH 7844) worth Rs 60,100.


The accused also confessed to involvement in vehicle thefts reported in Pachpaoli and Hudkeshwar police jurisdictions. All suspects, along with the recovered property, have been handed over to Shantinagar Police for further legal action.


The operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singhal, Joint CP Nisar Tamboli, DCP Rahul Makhnikar and ACP Abhijeet Patil led by Police Inspector Mukund Thakre and his team.
