Nagpur: A case has been registered against BJP leader Munna Yadav and his sons, Karan and Arjun, for allegedly verbally abusing and attacking police personnel. The incident occurred late on Saturday night, causing unrest within the party and raising concerns among BJP leaders.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from a longstanding family feud between Munna Yadav and his brother, Bala Yadav, which has led to frequent clashes between the two families. This ongoing dispute has been a recurring issue for the Dhantoli Police Station.

The trouble on Saturday began around 7 pm when Avadhesh alias Jaggu Yadav, the son of Munna Yadav's brother, was assaulted by associates of Karan and Arjun. As the Dhantoli police were transporting Avadhesh and other injured individuals for medical attention, Munna Yadav approached the police jeep.

Inside the vehicle were Dhantoli police in-charge Anamika Mirzapure, PSI Raikar, Dhanaji Raikar, and constables Sunil Shinde and Subhash Vasade. Upon seeing Constable Vasade, Munna Yadav allegedly threatened him, saying, “You are finished now, I will deal with you.” Following this confrontation, the police decided to formally register a case against Yadav and his sons.

This incident has stirred concern among BJP officials as Munna Yadav has been involved in controversies before, including an attempt to murder case. The situation was further complicated when a BJP MLA reportedly visited the Dhantoli Police Station to de-escalate the matter, allegedly exerting pressure on the police to downplay the incident.

With elections around the corner, this episode has cast a shadow on the party's image, as public threats and abusive behavior by party members could adversely impact its reputation.
