Nagpur: In a major anti-narcotics drive under “Operation Thunder – Let Us Unite for a Drug-Free Society,” the Hingna Police Station seized 16.94 kg of ganja worth ₹4.20 lakh from Jamtha on Thursday.
The operation is part of a special campaign initiated by Nagpur City Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal to curb the sale, possession, and consumption of narcotic substances.
At around 11.35 am, police received information from Gurvinder Chopra, owner of a hotel in Jamtha, about two suspicious bags lying behind the premises.
