Nagpur: A sense of shock gripped the Futala Lake area after locals discovered a body floating in the water on Monday. The incident was reported under the jurisdiction of Ambazari Police Station.

According to police sources, locals who first spotted the body promptly alerted the authorities. Responding swiftly, police personnel, along with the Fire and Emergency Department team of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), rushed to the scene. The body was retrieved from the lake and sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for an autopsy.

As of the time of filling this report, the identity of the deceased and the exact cause of death remain unknown. Ambazari Police have registered a case of accidental death, and further investigations are underway.
